CROSSFORD CRACE 1894-1958 CROSSFORD CRACE, LOCAL RESIDENT DIES THURSDAY Crossford Crace, 64, died in a local hospital Thursday, July 17, after a brief illness. The son of the late Wilson and Rachel Elizabeth Arms Crace, he was born July 4, 1894, in Johnson County and had been a resident of Paintsville for the past fifteen years. Mr. Crace was affiliated with the Southside Free Will Baptist church. He was a laborer by occupation. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Spradlin Crace, two sons, Leroy Crace of this city and Lewis Ray Crace, U. S. Air Force. Three daughters, Mrs. Mary Baldridge, City; Mrs. Beatrice Barker, Van Lear and Dianna Faye and Lynn Frances, both at home. Three sisters, Mrs. Dixie Griffith, Oil Springs; Mrs. Hazel Blair, Barnetts Creek; and Mrs. Daisy Sluss of Ohio. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, July 20, at 2:00 p.m. at the Southside Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. E. H. Overman and Rev. Walter Hooper as officiating ministers and the Toms Creek Quartet furnished the music. Burial was made in the family cemetery at Barnetts Creek. Paintsville Herald Wednesday July 23, 1958
