ERIE COLVIN

Mrs. Erie Arms Colvin, age 69, died Sunday, October 2, at 9 p.m.
at her home at Denver following an extended illness.

She was born on January 12, 1897 in Johnson County, and was the
daughter of the late Sam K. and Sara Ann Adams Arms. Her step-
mother, Mintie Arms, survives.

She was a lifelong resident of the county and a member of Liberty
Baptist Church for over 30 years.

Her husband, the late Morris Colvin, preceded her in death on July
23, 1964.

Survivors include three sons, Leo of Barnetts Creek, Theodore of
Leander, and Richard of Columbus, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Anna
Laura Johnson of Collista, and Katherine and Bonnie Faye Colvin,
both of Denver; a brother, Everett Arms of Paintsville, and a
sister, Mrs. Harrison Burke of West Van Lear.

Also surviving are four half-brothers, Beecher Arms of Baltimore,
Maryland, Grady Arms of Columbus, Ohio and Raymond and Ray Arms of
Denver.

The funeral was conducted today at 10:30 a.m. at the Liberty
Baptist Church with Rev. Clifford B. Coleman officiating.

Burial took place in the Denver Cemetery with the Jones-Preston
Funeral Home in charge.
