IDA CASTLE 1872-1955 Passes Tuesday At Sister's Home Miss Ida Castle, 82, lifelong resident of Johnson County, died Tueday morning, June 14, 1955, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Bettie Brown, Sitka, Ky., following an illness of three weeks. Born November 9, 1872 at Flat Gap, she had been a resident of Sitka for the past 13 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Rosa Burchett, Elna, Ky., Mrs. Crag Tackett, Ohio, and Mrs. Bettie Brown, Sitka. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 16, 1955, at 10:00 a.m. at the Sitka School with Danny Salyers as officiating minister. Burial will be made at the Salyer Cemetery at Flat Gap under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home. NOTE: Deathdate figured & entered in this obituary from date of publication.
