MAXIE CANTRELL

Maxie Cantrell, 87, of Van Lear, died Wednesday, April 15, 1998, at
Salyersville Healthcare Center in Salyersville.
  
She was born June 14, 1910, in Morgan County, the daughter of Joseph
Adams and Betty Cantrell Adams.  She was a homemaker and a member of
the Van Lear Missionary Baptist Church for many years.
  
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Charles
Cantrell, who died in 1954.
  
She is survived by two daughters, Katherine Carol Cantrell and Betty
Hayes, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; one brother, Lloyd Adams of
Columbus, Ohio; one sister, Margaret Armen Trout of Ashland, Ohio;
six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
  
Services were April 17, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel with
Dick VanHoose officiating.
  
Burial was in the family cemetery in Hager Hill.
