EARL RAY BUTCHER 1945-2003 JOHNSON COUNTY Earl Ray Butcher, 58, of Tomahawk, died Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at Inez. Born March 5, 1945, in Johnson County, he was a son of Janie Crum Butcher and the late Earl Butcher. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Kay Dalton Butcher. Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Adkins of Van Lear and Sharon Spence of Tomahawk; three brothers, Clen Otis Butcher, Charlie “Red” Butcher and Freddie Butcher, all of Boons Camp; a sister, Ruby Branham of Williamsport; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were Friday, July 18, at Phillip Cove Freewill Baptist Church with Revs. Dennis Hughes and Lonnie Ratliff officiating. Burial will be in Butcher Cemetery, Boons Camp, under direction of Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville. Big Sandy News Jul-2003
