CHARLES DONALD BUTCHER
1938-2008
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 5, 11 a.m. at the Little
Friendship United Baptist Church for Charles “Red” Butcher, 69, of
Boons Camp, Ky., who passed away Saturday, Feb. 2 at Hospice Care
Center in Ashland, Ky.
Mr. Butcher was born April 1, 1938 at Boons Camp, son of Janie
Crum Butcher and the late Earl Butcher. He was also preceded in
death by his wife, Mildred Tackett Butcher. He was a carpenter and
a U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are one son, Charles Ricky Butcher of Boons Camp; two
brothers, Glen Otis and Freddie Dean Butcher, both of Boons Camp;
and one sister, Ruby Branham of Williamsport, Ky.
The service was officiated by Claude Mollette, Glen Penix, Kenny
Preece and Shade Lee Walters, with burial in the Ballard Butcher
Cemetery at Boons Camp.
Arrangements under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home of
Paintsville, Ky.
