Minnie Burke, 77, of Oil Springs, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005 at
her residence.
  
Born July 30, 1928, in Riceville, she was a daughter of the late
Ed and Clea Merritt Caudill. She was a homemaker.
  
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Watson Burke.
  
Survivors include two sons, Paul Burke of New Martinsville, W.Va.,
and James Burke of Prestonsburg; three daughters, Connie King of
Wheeling, W.Va., Alice Burke of Booneville, and Nancy Kelsey of
Oil Springs; a sister, Pearl Jackson; 16 grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, at Paintsville
Funeral Home Chapel, Paintsville, with Rev. Ronnie Spriggs
officiating. Burial will be in Burke Cemetery, Oil Springs, under
direction of Paintsville Funeral Home.
  
Friends may call Wednesday, Dec. 21 from 5 - 9 p.m. and Thursday,
Dec. 22 after 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
