1880-1965
"Heart Attack Fatal to C.H. Burke"
C.H. Burke, 84, died at 4:45 p.m. June 7, at his home in East Point,
as a result of a heart attack.
Born November 28, 1880, he was the son of the late Calvin and Martha
Music Burke, and had lived in East Point several years.
He was affiliated with the church of Christ.
Mr. Burke was a retired merchant, farmer and former Johnson County
school teacher.
Mr. Burke is survived by his granddaughter, Mrs. Everett Conley, East
Point.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Sophia Fairchild and Mrs. Norma
Greer, East Point; one brother, Everett Burke, Allen. Other survivors
include four half brothers, Howard Burke, Green Burke, Arch Burke,
John Burke; two half sisters, Mrs. Ruth Meek, West Van Lear and Mrs.
Sarah Williams, Paintsville.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 10, at 2:00 p.m.,
at the East Point Church of Christ, with the Revs. S.C. Honeycutt and
Bill Ford officiating.
Burial will be in the family cemetery at East Point.
