RAY BURCHETT
1905-1979
Ray Burchett, 74, died Monday, Aug 13, in Highland Regional Medical
Center after an illness of several months.
Mr. Burchett was a resident of Elna, and was born May 5, 1905, in
Johnson County, the son of James and Rosa Castle Burchett. He was a
retired employee of Ashland Oil Company and a member of the United
Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Myrtle Estep Burchett; a daughter, Mrs.
Bromley Patton of Flat Gap; three brothers, Darrell of Wittensville,
James Lowell of Pikeville and Ora L. of Fuget; three sisters, Mrs.
Eula Hayes, of Howard, OH, Mrs. Edna Wallin of Winchester, and Mrs.
Virginia Hall of Columbus, OH; and one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, Aug 15 in Cold
Springs United Baptist Church at Elna with Elders Eual McKenzie, J.
T. Bailey and Lonza Reed officiating.
Burial will be in Patty Flat Cemetery at Elna with Paintsville
Funeral Home handling arrangements.
