BETTY JO BURCHETT
1932-2007
  
Betty Jo Burchett, 75, of Eastwood, passed away Sunday, August 12,
at Baptist Hospital East. She was a native of Johnson County, Ky.,
and a member of Flat Gap Baptist Church in Flat Gap, Ky.
  
She formerly worked at Central State Hospital, and retired in 1992
from Rice Audubon. She graduated from Flat Gap High School, Class of
1952, and Mayo State Vocational School. She was a member of Kentucky
Public Retirees, a Kentucky Colonel, and loved researching family
genealogy. She was a very special person and will be missed by
family and numerous friends.
  
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rexford R. and Bertha
Blanton Trimble; a brother, Rexford R. Trimble Jr., and a sister,
Victoria A. Allen. She is survived by a daughter, Vicky (Dwight)
Cischke; one son, David (Sally) Burchett; two grandchildren, Brian
Burchett and Adam Cischke; three step-grandchildren and three step-
great-grandchildren; one sister, Anna Martha (O.D.) Williams of
Columbus, Ohio; one brother, John H. (Ruth) Trimble of Ashland, Ky;
and one niece and three nephews.
  
The family would like to thank Presbyterian Homes of Louisville for
the care she received.
  
Visitation was held 2 p.m.- 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14 at the
Paintsville Funeral Home, with funeral services Wednesday, Aug. 15,
11 a.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home.
  
Burial was in the Blanton Cemetery at Stone Coal.
  
Pall bearers were David Burchett, Brian Burchett, Dan Boone, Dwight
Cischke, Adam Cischke, Ralph Spriggs, George Spriggs and John
Williams.
  
Arrangements under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home of
Paintsville, Ky.
