LARRY ALLEN BLEVINS 1950-2007 JOHNSON COUNTY Larry Allen Blevins, 57, of Oil Springs, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2007 at U.K. Medical Center, Lexington. Born May 6, 1950, in Johnson County, he was a son of the late Lazarus and Bessie Mable Ward Blevins. He was a blacksmith and a farmer. Survivors include five sons, Larry Joe Blevins of Staffordsville, Bobby Darrell Blevins, B.B. Blevins, and Keith Allen Blevins, all of Oil Springs, and Billy Wayne Blevins of Royalton; two daughters, Pamela Sue Blevins and Mable Ann Blevins, both of Oil Springs; six brothers, Jerry Blevins of Tomahawk, Chester Blevins of Volga, Dane Blevins of Prestonsburg, Eugene Blevins of Paintsville, Rodney Blevins of Staffordsville, and Bennie Blevins of Thealka; five sisters, Darlene Hitchcock of River, Rosa Vanhoose of Nippa, Barbara Sexton of Hager Hill, Rusha Fairchild of Staffordsville, and Shirley Sexton of Paintsville; and 16 grandchildren. Funeral services were Tuesday, Oct. 23, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, Paintsville, with Simon Porter officiating.
