OLIVER P. BLANTON
  
Oliver P. Blanton, 54, former carpenter, died May 12 1948 in
Oteen, North Carolina, following an illness of three months.
  
Mr. Blanton was born in Volga, Ky., the son of S.J. and Sarah Ann
Blanton.
  
Surviving are two children; Mrs. Margaret Lawrence and Robert E.
Blanton of Washington D.C. Surviving are four sisters; Mrs. Virgie
Williams, Red Bush, Mrs. Delia Lemaster, Portsmouth, Ohio, Mrs.
Bertha Trimble, Volga and Mrs. Verna Butler, City, and five
brothers, George, Willie, John F., Kendrick all of Volga and
Albert of South Point, Ohio.
  
Funeral services were conducted at the home of his brother,
Kendrick, at Volga on Sunday, May 16.
  
Burial was made in the family cemetery.
