VOLGA RESIDENT
PASSES SUNDAY

Crossford Blair, 72, well-known farmer of Volga, died at
his home at 5:40 p.m. Sunday, February 24, (1957).

The son of Harrison and Lydia Hictchcock Blair, he was
born in Johnson County, November 28, 1884.

Survivors include his widow, Bessie Blanton Blair; one
son, Grady Blair, Volga; three daughters, Mrs. Jennie
Gullett, Oil Springs; Mrs. Maude Burchett, Winchester;
Mrs. Grace Estep, Fuget; 13 grandchildren, 2 great
grandchildren. the following brothers and sisters, Tom
Blair, Mrs. Vera Van Hoose, Mrs. Tera Nelson, all of this
city; Bruce Blair, Water Gap and Drice Blair, Volga.

Funeral services were conducted today at 11:00 a.m., at
Oil Springs at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Gullett,
with Lonza Reed, Oscar McCarty and Tommie Bailey as
officiating ministers.

Burial was in the family cemetery under the direction of
the Paintsville Funeral Home.
