ALTA BLAIR

Alta Powers Blair, 77, of Leander, died Thursday Feb.08 2001 in
Highlands Regional Medical Center at Prestonsburg.
  
Mrs. Blair was born July 11, 1923, in Johnson County, a daughter of
the late Braden and Nannie Spencer Powers.
  
Her husband, Cecil Blair, died in 1992.
  
Surviving are two sons, Dean Blair and Wilbur Blair, both of Leander;
a half-sister, Glenna Doris Turpin of Paintsville; three
grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren.
  
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. today at Jones-Preston Funeral Home at
Paintsville by the Rev. Ray Church and the Rev. Willie Goble.
  
Burial was in Cecil Blair Memorial Cemetery at Leander.
