EMILY BALDWIN

Mrs. Emily Baldwin, 82, died at her home at Oil Springs, Tuesday, August
27, 1963 following a brief illness.
The daughter of the late Andrew and Cynthia Hitchcock Fairchilds, she was
born in Johnson County, Dec. 31, 1880, and had been a lifelong resident
of the Oil Springs community.
She was a member of he Missionary Baptist Church.
Her husband, Joel H. Baldwin, Sr., preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons, Sherman Baldwin, Oil Springs; Shelvy Martin
Baldwin, Galloway, OH.; Joel H. Baldwin, Jr., Staffordsville; five
daughters, Mrs. Nellie McKenzie and Mrs. Ruby McKenzie both of Elna; Mrs.
Samantha Bayes, Mt. Sterling, OH.; Mrs. Louisa Holbrook, Fuget; Mrs.
Talitha Burchett, Laconia, IN.; two brothers, Nimrod Fairchild,
Mansfield, OH.; Willie Fairchild, Richmondale, OH.; two sisters, Mrs.
Mary Van Hoose, South Portsmouth; Mrs. Alka McKenzie, Volga.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday at the Bethel United Baptist
Church at Flat Gap with Lonza Reed, F.F. Rigsby, and J.T. Bailey as
officiating ministers.
Burial was in Patty Flats at Fuget.
