Opal Taylor Auxier, 86, of East Point, died Tuesday, May 22, at
Mountain Manor Nursing Home, Paintsville.
  
Born Nov. 14, 1920, in Johnson County, she was a daughter of the late
Oscar and Dollie Conley Taylor. She was a homemaker.
  
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Auxier, in 1988.
  
Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Auxier of Staffordsville, James
R. Auxier of East Point, and Leroy Auxier of Hager Hill; two
daughters, Bonnie Lois Brown of East Point and Sherry Slone of Inez;
a brother, Bennie Taylor of Greenup; a half-sister, Josephine Mink of
Virginia; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-
great-grandchild.
  
Funeral services were Thursday, May 24, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel, Paintsville, with Jerry Scott officiating.
  
Burial was in Auxier Family Cemetery, East Point, under direction of
Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
