JAMES K. AUXIER
1902-1975
Retired miner James K. (Polk) Auxier, 72, of Hager Hill died
Wednesday, January, 29, 1975 after a short illness.
A native of Johnson County, he was born in February, 1902, the son
of F. L. and Levada Music Auxier. He was a member of the Church of
Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Verna Wells Auxier, two sons, James
Robert Auxier and Richard D. Auxier, both of Findlay, Ohio, and a
daughter, Mrs. Ruth Bowling, of Mansfield, Ohio. Also surviving are
three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Harris of Sioux Falls, South Dakota,
Mrs. Sally Preston of Van Lear and Mrs. Lorraine Colvin of Dunham.
Seven grandchildren and a great- grandchild also survive.
Rev. J. W. Holcomb officiated at services in the chapel of the
Jones- Preston Funeral Home on Saturday, February 1.
Burial was in the Auxier family cemetery at Hager Hill.
