NORMA AKERS

Mrs. Norma Hall Akers, 42, wife of Frank Akers of West Van Lear,
died at a local hospital Friday (Sep.25 1953) following a long
illness.
  
Born November 19, 1910 in Johnson County, she was the daughter of
Alex Hall and the late Mrs. Sam Honaker.
  
She was a member of the Christian Church.
  
Surviving besides the husband and father are two half- brothers,
Clifford Honaker, Charleston, W. Va.; and Billy Ray Honaker, U.S.
Air Force, stationed in Georgia.
  
Active pallbearers were Frank Davis, Garland Hall, D. Roy Webb,
Calvin Webb, Cecil Davis and Fred Mullett.
  
Funeral services were conducted at the Church of Christ at Van Lear
Junction with Rev. Joseph Zadavsky officiating.
  
Burial was made in the family cemetery under the direction of the
Preston Funeral Home.
