MARY EDNA ADAMS
1893-1964
Mrs. Mary Edna Adams, 71, died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July
16, in a local hospital, following an illness of several
weeks.
Mrs. Adams was born January 23, 1893, the daughter of the
late Sherman and Missouri Jane Webb Blair.
She had been a resident of Collista for eighteen years and
was a member of the Collista Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband Marcus Adams; two sons,
Mitchell Adams, Staffordsville, Richard Adams, Ashland; two
daughters, Mrs. Stewart Conley, Van Lear; Mrs. James Jasper,
Lynco, West Virginia; two brothers, Gordon Blair, Jenkins,
Francis Blair, London, Ohio, two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth
Hall, West Van Lear; and Mae Blair, Crittenden.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 18,
at the Collista Freewill Baptist Church, with the Rev.
Claude Preston and the Rev. Alfred Frazier, Jr. officiating.
