ORVILLE PENIX

Orville Penix, 50, died in Cleveland, Ohio, September 17
following an extended illness.
  
Born in Johnson County on March 6, 1924, he was the son of the
late Paris and Virgie Music Penix.
  
Surviving are a daughter, Robin Penix; two brothers, Paris
Penix, Jr., and Estill Penix, both of Cleveland, and six
sisters, Pauline Penix of Cleveland, Lillian Copley and Eunice
Ward of Paintsville, Bessie Davidson of Hindman, Louvetta Rains
of Adrian, Michigan, and Bobbie Thompson of Florida.
  
Reverend Don Fraley officiated at the funeral services for Mr.
Penix, held in the chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home on
September 20.
   
Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with
arrangements under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral
Home.
