Josephine Lemaster Owens, 55, died June 12 1984 in St. Joe Hospital
in Lexington.
  
She was born November 12, 1928, in Johnson County, a daughter of
Bate and Eva Watson Lemaster.
  
She was a resident of Paintsville and a member of Paintsville
United Baptist Church and Eastern Star 320.
  
Surviving are her husband, Jeff Owens; two sons, Roger L. Owens,
Oil Springs, and Bobby E. Owens, Thealka; a daughter, Joanna Sue
Owens, Paintsville; two brothers, James and Bill Lemaster; a
sister, Ruth Fairchild; and three grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were held June 15 in Paintsville United Baptist
Church with Brother Wallace Conley and Elders Edd (Buster) Blanton,
Joe Carroll and Roy Coffee officiating.
  
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park under the direction of Jones-
Preston Funeral Home.
