Gail W. Gillem, 66, of Keaton, died Monday, March 25, 2002 at
Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington.
  
Born May 29, 1935, he was a son of the late George W. and Elva
Skaggs Gillem.
  
He served twice as Johnson County judge-executive.
  
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Moore Gillem; a daughter,
Leslee Pelphrey of Keaton; two stepsons, Tim Hazlette of
Nicholasville and Scott Hazlette of Paintsville; and four
grandchildren.
  
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 28, at Tom's Creek
Freewill Baptist Church, vith Rev. James Caudill and Rev. Jeff
Blanton officiating.
  
Burial will be in Highland Memonal Park, Staffordsville, nder
direction of Paintsville Funeral Home.
