Funeral Services Held Here Today For Link Fyffe, Sr. Link Fyffe,
61, widely-known Johnson County man, died suddenly about 11:00 a.m.
Monday in the Paintsville Clinic following a heart attack.

Mr. Fyffe, a drilling contractor, had returned from Van Lear to his
home at Turner Branch where his son, Link Fyffe, Jr. was to
accompany him to work.

He became suddenly ill and died about 20 minutes after entering the
hospital.

Mr. Fyffe was born Feb. 13, 1898 in Morgan County, a son of Joe and
Cynthia Ferguson Fyffe.

He had been a resident of Turner Branch about 12 years.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Stella Wright Fyffe, two sons, Link
Fyffe, Jr., Paintsville, and Billie Joe Fyffe, Pikeville; four
daughters, Mrs. John L. Lemaster, a teacher in the Paintsville
schools; Mrs. James S. Trimble, Mrs. Jack Hamilton, all of
Paintsville, and Mrs. Leroy Salyer of Loraine, Ohio. Also surviving
are the following brothers and sisters, John H. Fyffe,
Staffordsville; Jay Fyffe, Red Bush; Alva Fyffe, and Jim F. Fyffe,
both of Blaine; Lonza Fyffe, Manchester, N.H., Mrs. Millard Fyffe,
Blaine and Mrs. Martha Kelly, Red Bush.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., today at the Paintsville
United Baptist Church with Everett Slone and Paul Turner
officiating.

Burial will be made in Highland Park Cemetery at Staffordsville.
