DORIS FRANKLIN

Staffordsville resident Doris Ann Franklin, 70, died Saturday,
August 30, 1997 at her residence.
  
Mrs. Franklin was born January 29, 1927, in Johnson County, to the
late Frank and Erie Castle Harris.
  
She was a merchant, past grand Master of the Order of the Eastern
Star of Kentucky and a past worthy matron of the Paintsville
Chapter 320.
  
Surviving are one son, James T Franklin of Staffordsville; one
daughter, Linda Franklin Morgan of Panama City, Florida; one
brother, Warren "Tubby" Harris of Van Lear; two sisters, Helen
Hazelette of Michigan and Alka Chandler of Van Lear; and three
grandsons.
  
Funeral services were held Monday September 1, at Highland Memorial
Funeral Chapel at Staffordsville, with Dick VanHoose officiating.
  
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.
