Funeral services were held Thursday, January 30, 11:00 a.m. at
Preston Funeral Chapel for Bettie Franklin, 65, who passed away
Tuesday Jan 28 2003 at Highlands Regional Medical Center.
  
Mrs. Franklin was born February 8, 1937 in Floyd County, daughter
of the late James and Bertha Mae Rollins Williams.
  
Surviving is her husband Ernest Franklin; five sons, Bryan Franklin
of Tyler, TX, Christopher and Scott Franklin of Meally, Richard and
Eric Franklin of Thelma; one daughter, Tammy Conley of Thelma; two
brothers, Danny Williams of Daytona Beach, Fl., Mike Williams of
Ironton, Oh.; two sisters, Patricia Slone of Paintsville and Libby
Barrett of Polson, Montana; twelve grandchildren.
  
The service was officiated by Harold Conley, Terry Conley and Roger
Hill, with burial following in Highland Memorial Park in
Staffordsville.
  
Arrangements under the direction of Preston Funeral Home of
Paintsville.
