James Foster, 47 years old, died at his home at Volga, Saturday,
February 1, (1941), after an illness of several weeks.

Mr. Foster had resided in Paintsville for the past few years and
had moved a short time ago to his present home.

Funeral services were held at the home of his mother, Mrs.
Campbell Foster in West Paintsville, Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock
(Feb. 4, 1941) in charge of the Rev. C. S. Smith, pastor of the
Missionary Baptist Church.

Burial was in the Turner cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, one son, Clarence Foster, his mother, Mrs.
Campbell Foster and one niece, Mrs. Virgil Gullett, all of
Paintsville.

Burial was in charge of the undertaking department of the
Paintsville Furniture Co.
