Verna Ratliff Fletcher, 84, of Knoxville, Tenn., died Friday,
Feb.03 2006
  
Born March 10, 1921, in Johnson County, she was a daughter of the
late Walker and Virgie Music Ratliff. She was a member of Meally
Church of Christ.
  
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alex Boone
Fletcher, in 1994.
  
Survivors include a son, Gary Robert Fletcher of New Lebanon,
Ohio; a daughter, Carol Hunter of Coryton, Tenn.; a brother, Jerry
Walker Ratliff; three sisters, Verlia Phelps, Viola Music, and
Valerie Ratliff; and four grandchildren.
  
Graveside funeral services were Monday, Feb. 6, at Highland
Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, with Arville Short officiating.
Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville, was in charge of
arrangements.
