Beatrice Louise Wells Fitch, 83, of West Van Lear, died Saturday,
January 3, 1998.
  
She was born February 7, 1914, in Floyd County, the son of Noah
Wells and Louise Butcher.
  
She was a member of the Buffalo United Baptist Church.
  
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Robert Ray
May.
  
She is survived by her husband, John Fitch; two sons, Larry M.
Fitch of Van Lear and Gary K Fitch of West Van Lear; one daughter,
Kathleen Ratliff of West Van Lear; one sister, Berta Adkins of Van
Lear; and three grandchildren.
  
Services were January 6, at the Buffalo United Baptist Church with
Lawrence Arrowood officiating.
  
Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park in Staffordsville.
