HELEN MARGUERITE FANNIN 1925-1998 Age 73, of Prestonsburg, died Sunday, May 31, 1998, at her residence. Born January 2, 1925 at Weston, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Hughes and Elizabeth Sharp White. She was a para-professional with the Floyd County Board of Education. She worked with handicapped children as a volunteer. She was a member of the Miriam Rebekah Lodge No. 31, First Baptist Church (Irene Cole Memorial) in Prestonsburg. She was formerly employed at Mountain Comprehensive Care Center. Survivors include her husband, T. J. "Jody" Fannin; one daughter, Elizabeth Chaffin of Prestonsburg; two sons, John Gray of Paintsville and Huey Gray of Lexington; seven grandchildren. Funeral services were Tuesday, June 2, at 2 p.m., at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Allen Hutchinson officiating. Entombment was in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
