Minnie Fairchild, 83, of Paintsville, died Monday, Jan. 28 2002 at
Mtn. Manor Nursing Home, Paintsville.
  
Born May 24, 1918, at Johnson County, she was a daughter of the
late Burns and Mary Ward Daniel.
  
She was a retired cook for G.C. Murphy Co., and member of
Paintsville United Baptist Church.
  
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dorman Fairchild.
  
Survivors include a son, Robert Fairchild of Paintsville; a
daughter, Avonelle Worsham of Englewood, Ohio; a brother, Willard
Daniel of Gainesville, Fla.; a sister, Mildred Meade of Dayton,
Ohio; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31 at Paintsville
United Baptist Church, with John R. Pelphrey and J.D. Rice
officiating.
  
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
direction of Preston Funeral Home.
