Patty Sue Barker
1934-2002

Patty Sue Barker, 67, of Van Lear, died Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at
Highlands Regional Medical Center Emergency Room, Prestonsburg.

Born Sept. 25, 1934, in Johnson County, a daughter of the late Glen Lee
and Hazel Marie Bowling May, she was a nursing home cook.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest Barker of Van Lear; three sons,
Mike Barker, Martin Barker and Lundy Barker, all of Van Lear; three
daughters, Bernadine Mims of Pikeville, April Blankenship of Thelma and
Jackie Sicely of Van Lear; two brothers, Dennis May of Moralton, Ariz.,
and Glen Lee May Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Lorene Hughes of
Dayton, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Chester Keathley Saturday, July
13, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, Paintsville.

Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville. Jones- Preston
Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
