Mildred Franklin Armes, 91, of Paintsville,
died Friday, Nov. 7, at Mountain Manor Nursing Home,
Paintsville.

Born July 15, 1912, in Johnson County, she was a daughter of
the late Jack Miliam and Alka Rice Miliam Baldwin. She was a
cook at Mayo Vocational School and a member of the Rockhouse
Freewill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Eddie Franklin;
and second husband, Marion Downard Armes.

Survivors include a daughter, Ellen Jean Williams of
Paintsville; two sons, Irvin Bryan Franklin of Staffordsville
and Perry Martin Franklin of Columbus, Ohio; seven
grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 10, at Rockhouse Freewill
Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Williams, Buddy McKenzie and
Harold Conley officiating.

Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
