HONDEL ADAMS
  
Hondel Adams, 70, died Wednesday, January 3, 1996 at Highlands Regional
Medical Center, Floyd Co Ky.
  
Mr. Adams was born March 23 1925, in Johnson County, the son of the late
Lester and Marsha Fairchild Adams.
  
He was a minister at the First Christian Church in Prestonsburg and a
veteran of the U.S. Marines.
  
Also preceding him in death was a brother, John Adams, in 1948.
  
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn May Adams; two sons, Les Michael Adams of
Dallas, Georgia, and Lance Mitchell Adams of Palm Beach, Florida; one
brother, Andrew Adams of Turner Branch; and two sisters, Beulah Selvage
of Denver and McClure of Wittensville.
  
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 6, at Jones Preston Funeral
Home, with Wally Rendel officiating.
  
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
