THEODORE JOSEPH FANNIN

Theodore Joseph "Jody" Fannin, 81, of Prestonsburg, died Thursday,
Aug. 21, at Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg.
Born Feb. 17, 1927, at Fayette County, W.Va., he was a son of the
late Glen Roscoe and Mable Spurlock Fannin. He was retired from John
Gray Pontiac, a member of the Zebulon Masonic Lodge #273 F&AM and a
U.S. Air Force veteran.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen Marguerite White
Fannin, in 1998; and a brother, Tom Fannin.
Survivors include two sons, John Gray and Huey Gray, both of
Lexington; a daughter, Elizabeth Chaffin of Prestonsburg; two
brothers, Billy R. Fannin of Utah and Jack Fannin of Melbourne, Fla.;
a sister, Naomi Steffey of Findlay, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and
four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, Aug. 21, at Carter Funeral Home
Chapel, with Bobby Joe Spencer officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction
of Carter Funeral Home, Prestonsburg.
