DELLA FAYE ADKINS
1939-1990
Meally resident, Della Faye Preston Adkins, died Saturday, November
3, in Highlands Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Adkins was born September 17, 1939 in Johnson County, the
daughter of Roy and Flossie Jennings Preston. She was a member of
Buffalo United Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Felix Adkins; one son, Emerson Adkins, of
Hager Hill; two daughters, Debbie Weddington, of West Liberty, and
Nadine Taylor, of Thealka; four brothers, Roy, Freddie, Elbert and
James, all of Fairborne, Ohio; three sisters, Zelphia Blanton, Mary
Alvina Osborne and Phyllis Ann Delong, all of Fairborne; and one
granddaughier.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 5, in Buffalo United
Baptist Church, with Claude Mollett, Shadie Lee Walters and Doug Ward
officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with Jones-
Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
