JOHN ESTEP CEMETERY Copied by: Roberta McCarty Rockhouse, Johnson Co Ky.
List of graves in the John Estep Cemetery behind Burl McCarty's home on Rock House of Jenny's Creek. This is on the farm that was home to John Estep and his wife Sara "Sally" Marshall Estep. It was a part of the larger farm of her parents, Ruben Marshall and Delila Spradlin Marshall.
The obituary for DORA BAYES is very interesting as it states the name of this cemetery as the "MARSHALL CEMETERY" in Rockhouse. Time Period: 1935
There are about 12 or 15 graves with no markers. Most of these are the family of Dora Estep Bayes and her husband, Leander Bayes and a Borders man. We do not know the relationship to the Estep family.

BORDERS, Unknown ----------- -----------
Leander Bayes and his wife Dora Bayes and several of their children are buried in the
unmarked graves. I talked to June Meade Rice and she told me she attended some of the
funerals. Leander's funeral was held in Roy Estep's front yard.
I think the Borders man was a Bayes grandchild.
