Former Resident Nellie Clark Dies January 1

Nellie Clark

Nellie Rose O'Bryan Clark, age 81, of McDermott, Ohio and formerly of Johnson and Lawrence
counties, died Sunday January 1, at McDermott.

She was born September 23, 1885 at Barnetts Creek, the daughter of John Ellis O'Bryan and Louisa
Caroline Coffee.

Her husband, the late John Willson Clark preceded her in death on February 6, 1957. They were
married at Estill on December 5, 1907. She was also preceded by a son, Manuel E. Clarkm who died
March 20, 1924 and a daughter Clovie Clark Beddow who died June 29, 1943.

Surviving are four sons, Vanzel Elli and James Leonard, both of Columbus, John Edgar of
Hilliards, Ohio and Rudolph of fairfield, Calif., two daughters, Mrs Clemie Clark Tackett of
Lucasville, Ohio and Mrs. mary Louanna Clark Holbrook of Columbus, a sister Elizabeth O'bryan
Clark of Volga, 25 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters -in-law, Telia Thompson O'Bryan of Williamson, West Virginia and
Caroline (Tiny) Clark MeCarty of Adams.

Funeral Services were held January 2 at Alders Chapel United Baptist Church in West Jefferson,
Ohio with burial taking place in the Glenrest Cemetery in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
