S. Chandler S.M. Chandler, an 80-year old former Danville resident, died in a Stanford hospital on November 9. The retired farmer was buried three days later in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery at Stanford. Services were held earlier in the First Baptist Church at Junction City, with Rev. Douglas Strader presiding. Funeral arrangements were cared for by Stith Funeral Home of Danville. He was born in Chandlersville to the late Lafayette and Martha Caudill Chandler. Survivors include his wife, Maude Burton Chandler; three sons from Danville, Homer, Harold and Jimmy Paul Chandler; a brother in Mansing, Wash., Monroe Chandler; one sister, Lizzie Chandler of Decator, Ill., two grandsons.
