Harry Eugene Castle, 78, of Ashland, died Saturday in Oakmont Manor in Flatwoods. He was born May 28, 1930, at East Point in Johnson County. He was the son of the late Lawrence Castle and Edna Huff Castle and the husband of the late Deloris Jean Chandler Castle. Mr. Castle was a retired well driller for Kentucky & Ohio Gas Co. and attended New Life Fellowship in Russell and Argillite Methodist Church. He was also preceded in death by a son, Harry E. Castle Jr. Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Brenda Deskins of Russell, Linda and Ernest Boyles of Flatwoods, Glenda and Doug Duff of Dayton and Patricia and Ken Abdon of Troy, Ohio; and three sisters, Trilby Gunthrie of Ohio, Rose Peterson of Pensacola, Fla., and Nell Slone of Arizona. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods by Bill Willoughby. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.
