DAVID LEE CASTLE 1941-2004 David Lee Castle, 63, of Springfield died at 2:30 a.m. November 15 2004 in his residence. He was born in Thelka in Johnson County, Kentucky on October 18 1941 the son of Collie M. and Marie (Pack) Castle. He worked as a managewr of Wickes Lumber, Wilson Freight and retired from H7H Masonry due to illness. David served as a medic in the United States Army during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Martha (Spahr); Seven children, David (Lori) Castle, Troy (Toni) Castle, Mark (Tina) Castle, Lori Wilson, Angie Detwiler,Christopher Meeks, Rebecca (Matthew) Shipley, all of Springfield; twelve grandchildren, Shannon, Gary, Stephen, Jenna, Ashley, Amanda, Mindy, Josh, Teddie, Seth, T.J. Jackson; four brothers, Gerald (Gwen) Castle, Winfield, West Virginia; Logan Castle, Centerville, Ohio; Charles "Buddy" (Patty) Castle, Kettering Ohio; Colin (Susie) Castle, Springfield, Ohio; brother-in-law, Martin (Teri) Spahr, Beavercreek, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A gathering of family and freinds will be held 5-7 p.m. Wednesday November 17 2004 in the Littleton & Rue Funeral Home, Springfield with Pastor Stuart Rammes officiating.
