BROWN, Lacy 1903-1972 Lacy Brown, 69, of Ada, OH died August 28 in his home of a heart attack. He was born January 29, 1903 in Paintsville to Wesley and Cora Blanton Brown. One March 5, 1922 he married Cloie Lemaster and she survives. Also surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Bureeda Hackworth of Ada, Mrs. Betty Selvage of Alger, Mrs. Mildred Burkholder of Bluffton, Mrs. Viola Wilson of Toledo, Mrs. Elwanda Hastings of Dunkirk, Mrs. Judi Ludwig of Toledo, OH. Four sons, Claude Brown of Ada, Willis Brown of Bellefontaine, Eugene Brown of Alger, OH, and Larry Brown of Harrod; five sisters, Mrs. Dewey (Alkie) Whitaker of Cave City, KY, Mrs. Alta Gilkerson of Chicago, IL, Mrs. Beacher June Arms of Baltimore, MD, Mrs. Kathleen Bone and Mrs. Myrtle Copley both of Chesapeake; four brothers, Hershel, Raymond, Gail and Wesley, Jr., all of Paintsville and 20 grandchildren. Mr. Brown was a member of the Alger Baptist Church. Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 31 in the Ada Hanson Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Selvage and the Rev. Amos Hackworht officiating. Burial was in the Preston Cemetery at Alger. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, September 13, 1972
