RAYMON BORDERS 1914-1990 Former Paintsville resident, Rev. Raymon Borders, 76, of Springfield, Ohio, died Tuesday, July 3. Mr. Borders was born July 26, 1914 in Paintsville, the son of John and Martha Sparks Borders. He has been a Springfield resident for over 50 years. He retired in 1968 from International Harvester Company following 18 years of service and served as a driver for the Elderly United for the past three years, for 50 years he was an ordained minister with Holiness Tabernacle Inc. (interdenominational) where he served as an evangelist and radio minister on WCHO, Washington C.H., Ohio for many years. For the past 10 years he attended the Clifton Avenue Church of God. Surviving are his wife, Betty P. Riley; four sons, Larry, Danny, David and Marvin, all of Springfield; two stepsons, Jerry Stewart, of Springfield, and Mike Stewart, of DeGraff, Ohio; two daughters, Shirley Berry, of Urbana, Ohio, and Betty Jo Dobson, of Springfield; two brothers, Estell and Buell Borders, both of Urbana; and 9 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, July 6, in Inkling-Williams Funeral Home, Springfield, with Revs. Donald A. Cox, Randall Huston and Clyde Webb officiating.
