LAWRENCE COUNTY — Howard G. Borders, 68, of Ulysses, died Tuesday, May 12, at his residence.

Born Nov, 27, 1940, in Johnson County, he was the son the late Glen and Carmie Brickles Borders.
He was a truck driver and a member of the Borders Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Thompson Borders of Ulysses; a son, Robert Borders of Milton,
W.Va.; two sisters, Vivian Helms of Ashland and Joyce Rivet of Ulysses; two brothers, Virgil
Price of Urbanba, Ohio, and Joseph L. Borders of Gatesville, Texas; and a grandchild.

Funeral services were Thursday, May 14, at Wilson Funeral Home, with Dan Fredericks and Frank
Buskirk officiating. Burial was in Borders Chapel Cemetery, Ulysses, under direction of Wilson
Funeral Home, Louisa.
