BLANTON, Marvin 2009 OUT JAN post


Marvin Blanton, age 77, of Shiloh died Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center,
Norwalk, Ohio.

He was born March 3, 1931 in Paintsville, KY to the late Clifford and Lillie Blanton. Marvin
moved to the Shiloh / Greenwich area in 1951. He married the love of his life, Earnia on December
24, 1952.

He worked for Plymouth Locomotive where he retired after 43 years. Marvin was a member of the
Bethel Freewill Baptist Church of Mansfield.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Earnia (Phillips) Blanton; 2 sons, Ben and Craig Blanton;
3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; and 1 sister, Carrie Click. Preceded in death by his
sister, Avenell Medows, and 2 brothers, Garvin and Arnold Blanton.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 29th at Eastman Funeral Home,
49 W. Main St., Greenwich where a funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January
30th. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven.
