OZZIE BLAIR 1927-1990 Former Paintsville resident, Ozzie Blair, 63, died Saturday, April 28, in Grady Memorial Hospital, Ohio. Mr. Blair was born February 1, 1927 in Paintsville. He was an Army veteran of World War II. was retired from the Norfolk and Southern Railroad after 31 years of service and was a member of the United Baptist Church in Lucasville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a brother, Oak Blair, a sister, Ollie Lewis, and two half brothers, Cecil and Dallas Blair. Surviving are his wife, Eva Blair; four sons, John and Lonnie, both of Ohio, Bryan, of Columbus, Ohio, and Steve, of Marysville, Ohio; one daughter, Joni Swisher, of Radnor, Ohio; two stepsons, Roger Hemmings, of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Robert Hemmings, of Kingston, Ohio; two brothers Ovie, of Madisonville, and Gus, of Peebles, Ohio; and nine grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 1, in Bennett-Brown Funeral Home, with Rev Mark Hummel officiating. Burial was in Three Locks Cemetery in Chillicothe, Ohio.
