BAYES, Marie (Ratliff) 1920-2000

Marie Bayes, 80, of East Second Street, died 7;3S a.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2000, at the
residence of her daughter Rose Ann Rice, following an extended Illness.

She was Born January 16, 1920 in Johnson County, Ky., to the late Paris and Rhoda Spencer Ratiff.

Surviving are daughters and son-in-laws, Joan and Charles Downs, Loretta and David Bost and Rose
Ann and Fred Rice, all of Chillicothe, sons and daughters-in-law, James and Judy Bayes,
Chillicothe and Larry and Pam Bayes, Kingston; son, Charles Bayes, Chillicothe; 15 grandchildren:
17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Andy Fyffe, of
Chillicothe.

Mrs. Bayes was predeceased by an infant son Woodrow, her former husband, Woodrow Bayes, brother,
John Ratliff and sister, Rebecca Whitcomb.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday in the Ware Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Norman
officiating.

Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.

Friends may call at Ware's from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
