Jessie Auxier 1908-1995 Funeral services were held Saturday,
January 28 for Jessie Brown Auxier, 86, who died Wednesday, January
25 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lexington. Mrs. Auxier was born
October 20, 1908, in Floyd County, the daughter of the late Henry
Jefferson Auxier and Millie Alice Burchett. She was a member of the
Van Lear Baptist Church. Also preceding her in death was her
husband, Addie Baldridge Auxier, on December 16, 1967; a son, Henry
Ireland Auxier, on November 15, 1969; and a brother George Ireland
Auxier. Surviving are one son, Harold Kermit Auxier of Van Lear and
two grandchildren. Officiating at services were Doug Kestner and
Manford Fannin. Burial was in Auxier Family Cemetery at Van Lear,
with Jones-Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
