ARMS, James A. ‘Baldie’ Sr. 1930-2008 Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 31, 11 a.m. at the Lynch Funeral Home in Horseheads, N.Y. for James A. “Baldie” Arms Sr., 78, of Erin, N.Y., who passed away Monday, Oct. 27. Mr. Arms was born June 12, 1930 in Paintsville, Ky., son of the late William and Lucinda Arms. He was a laborer for the International Laborers Union #1752, and a Korean War Army veteran. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Smith and Martha Long, and his brother, Loyd Arms. Surviving are his wife, Joyce Scholtisek Arms of Horseheads; two daughters, Tracey L. Arms of Beaumont, Texas, and Neva D. Arms (Tim) Shelton of Horseheads; one son, James A. “Bubba” (LaShonda) Arms Jr. of Big Flats, N.Y.; three brothers, Paul (Anna Mae), Henry (Laura), and Harry (Janie) Arms, all of Geneva, N.Y.; one sister, Linda (Louis) Linthicum of Texas; and five grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The service will be officiated by Pastor Thomas Allen with interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads. Full military honors will be conducted.
