Herrington and Martha his wife, John Baker and Susan his wife, Emily Baker, Calvin Baker, Edward B. Wiley and Lucy his wife, Madison Graham and Nancy his wife, heirs and legal representatives of Sally Baker and Elizabeth Baker who were daughters and heirs at law of William Mothershead deceased, the said Sally Baker and Elizabeth Baker being now dead, now we the heirs aforesaid for divers (sic) good causes and considerations us thereunto moving - have made nominated constituted and appointed and by these presents do make nominate constitute and appoint Mr. John Murrell of Jefferson County Missouri, our true and lawful agent and attorney in fact irrevocably, for us and in our names or either of us, to grant bargain and sell to such person or persons and for such sum or sums as our said agent and attorney may see fit any and all the real Estate or property whatsoever Lands, tenaments goods or chattels belonging to us or either of us, or to which we or either of us may have any claim situate in the Commonwealth of Kentucky as heirs of aforesaid or otherwise, and to make execute, sign, seal and acknowledge and deliver all such deeds or other instruments of writing whatsoever that may be necessary in the premises with such covenants as to warranty as he may see proper we hereby ratifying (sic) and confirming and agreeing to ratify and confirm all and singularly the acts of our said agent and attorney in and about the premises.

Be it remembered, that on this Fifth day of December AD Eighteen hundred and fifty five, before me the undersigned clerk of the Circuit Court in and for said county of Jefferson personally came Orson Baker, John C. Herrington and Martha his wife, John Baker and Susan his wife, Emily Baker, Calvin Baker, Edward B. Wiley and Lucy his wife Madison Graham and Nancy his wife, who are personally known to me to be the same persons whose names are subscribed to the foregoing instrument of writing and having executed the same, and severally acknowledged the same to be their act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned they the said Martha, Susan, Lucy and Nancy being by me first made acquainted with the contents of said instrument, adknowledged and declared on an examination separate and apart from their said husbands that they severally executed said instruments voluntarily freely and without compulsion or undue influence of their said husbands.In Testimony whereof I hereto set
