This is a transcription of a Land Deed selling property from Rosanna SCAGGS to Washington PIERCE in Jefferson County, Missouri, in 1842. I have read the material as best I can from thirty-year old microfilm copies. I've tried to be very accurate (including copying the spelling as it was on the document, but since much of it was very hard to read - spidery handwriting, fading ink, poor microfilm quality - there may be errors I haven't noticed as yet. [note: in looking through the probate records, I found Jeremiah died the year before, in 1841; he knew he was dying - his Last Will and Testament was witnessed shortly before his death by Dicey HUSKEY and Susannah PALMER]
